For the past nine days, I have been working, on average, 10 hours a day as a cashier for the Rogers Cup (a huge international tennis event that is held every year in Toronto and Montreal). This job is definitely the most relaxed job that I have ever done. My job pretty much was to:

//Sit in a high chair at a cash register station//
//Ring up people's orders//
//Don't Screw Up*//

*literally what my manager told me on my first day, she was slightly joking. Only slightly.

Other than those 3 main tasks, I was free to do whatever I wanted, such as:

In Secrecy
Surf the internet
Go on Social Media

In the Open
Plan Future Sorority Sisterhood Events
Drink an Unlimited Amount of Coffee and Tea

Long story short, this job has ALOT of downtime since the majority of the time, people were watching the tennis matches. After a whole week of this, I was able to come up with a list of things you can do when you are literally bored out of your mind or for those days when you have so much free time on your hands.

What to do when you're bored

1. Talk to anyone who is around you. It's time to use and improve those conversation skills. You never know what interesting things you can learn from others if you never or rarely engage in
    conversation. Plus, there's the potential to make a new friend. Having great conversation skills are an asset wherever you go.

2. Write. Literally, I am writing this post during a lull at work. It's 2:56 pm on a Saturday and there is a doubles match going on. AKA not a soul in sight, well except for the few lingerers watching the game inside of the air-conditioned building because it's too humid outside.

3. Check in on what is going on in the world. I signed-up email new subscription called theSkimm. It's the best thing ever. Every morning, I get an email about national and international news. Plus it's written using every day (easy) language. Move aside Merriam-Webster, No Dictionary Needed.

4. Come up with some long and short-term goals and a plan to execute them. It'll help you learn what you want in life and how you're going to get it. If you have a good idea of your life's path, it can be very motivating.

A goal without a plan is just a wish

5. Make plans to meet up with someone you have not seen in a while. They will be happy to hear from you and with all your free boredom-ridden time, you can work on all the details associated
   with it. How can they say no?

6. Take a walk and just relax your mind. Just explore your surroundings and concentrate on your breathing.

7. You can clean-up or organize the area or room you're in. I don't know what it is, but there's something so therapeutic about having a clean and organized room. At least for me there is.

8. This tip only applies if you're at home, but take a shower/bath, and go the whole nine yards in pampering yourself. Get out that nice Lush soap, you know the one you feel slightly guilty using unless it's a special occasion. Crank some music, shave your legs, deep condition your hair, belt your lungs out and have yourself the best shower you've ever had! Afterwards, feel free to lounge around in a robe and towel for the rest of the day.

9. This can be a continuation of the previous tip. Put on a face mask, moisturize your body and pull out the nail polish. By the time your nail polish dries, (If you use the Seche Vite top coat, they will dry so quickly!) it'll be time for your mask to come off. To avoid accidentally nicking a corner of your freshly manicured nails, I suggest getting a paper mask like the ones the sell at Sephora. When it's ready for the mask to come off, take off the paper mask and rub in the rest of the product. Off you go!

10. Head to the closest grocery store, get some snacks and have yourself a movie night or a Netflix night. Both are perfectly great choices! My favourite movie night snacks are Nachos, Yummm!

With all these tips, have yourself an AWESOME day of chillaxing and just doing nothing! These days are often rare.
